Biography:
Larry Bird born in 1956 grew up in the small town of French Lick, Indiana, where the only advanced things were basketball and the field he developed his love for basketball.

He faced financial struggles and family difficulties, which motivated him to focus on the game. But the real problems came with his father, Joe Bird, alcoholic and sad becuse he left the marraige, and decided to suicide him self with a gun.
In high school in the year 68’he startd playing Basketball. Bird became a standout player, catching the attention of college scouts, beeing the highest scorer of all times.
He initially enrolled at Indiana University. But felt overwhelmed and left after a short time. Bird then attended Indiana State University, where he became a star player, leading the team to the NCAA Championship game in 1979. His success in college basketball made him one of the most famous players of his time.

Larry Bird did amazing to in his college years, with 30/match, and the Indiana player will slowly start to gain fame, and positioned the Indiana university at the top standars, taking them to the final vs Magic Johnson, wich woul be the hard work vs the strategic unesperated moves. Who finally woul be won by Magic’s University. One of the first duels wich then preceeds to the Boston Celtics, vs the Lakers.

NBA carreer
He became a professional the 8th of June 1979, for five seasons. Boston was Larry’s home, the Boston garden had a new player, and it’s name was Larry Bird.
Larry bird did a very good rookie year, scaling up the Boston Celtics, who had lost more matches than won. And luckly with Larry they won 61 times (while in the other season only 21 times). Larry won the rookie of the year award, which was very argued by the pepole.
The Celtics won their first ring vs the Houston Rockets in 1981. Larry Bird was very constant, they say that he was the first to show up to the training sessions, and the last to leave.
From year 82’-89’ the rivalry between Jonhnson and Bird will start to sprout. Lakers vs Celtics. This two players will bring the magic to the stadium.

One of the best tournaments, the All-star games, or even the triple contest (wich Larry won 3 times). Celtics finished the season with 67 wins, and 15 loses.
Larry knew how to play, how to pass, how to get rebounds, a strong leader, that knew ho to defend and overall how to shoot, a person who was amazing to watch.
In 1987 it would be the end of the Bird’s era, not winning the finals vs the Lakers, and one year later, not reaching the playoffs.
Then the injuries came, wich difficultted Larry’s carreer. And in the Barcelona 92’ olympics he played his last matches (all won). With 36 years, he left the league who so much gave to him, and retired from professional basketball.
